At AllergyFreeNearMe, we view your data as a personal asset, not a commodity. Our discovery platform is built to minimize the data we collect while maximizing the value you receive. We focus exclusively on health-conscious discovery and allergy preference profiles.
We do not participate in cross-site tracking or sell your personal allergy profiles to third-party marketing firms. Optional product analytics runs only with your consent.
To provide a curated editorial experience, we collect the following:
- Allergy ProfilesAllergy preferences and dietary restrictions.
- Optional Product AnalyticsWith permission, Google Analytics counts visits and page views (query strings stripped), and PostHog records anonymous event names and count buckets when enabled. No allergy profiles, search text, typed locations, allergen filters, reviews, names, or email.
- Newsletter ConsentEmail, consent source and version, confirmation status, and delivery-sync status. Newsletter data is not joined to allergy profiles.
- Approx. LocationUsed for discovering nearby dining sanctuaries.
We keep each data class only for the service purpose described here:
- Account, allergy preferences, saved places, trips, reviews, and photos: kept while your account is active. Using Delete Account in Profile Settings removes these records from the active service.
- Authentication sessions: expire after 7 days unless they are refreshed by continued use; signing out or deleting the account ends active sessions.
- Approximate location and browser preferences: kept until you replace or clear them in Preferences, clear this site's browser data, or delete your account.
- Email verification and password-reset links: expire after 1 hour. Transactional delivery records may be retained by our email processor for abuse prevention and delivery troubleshooting under its retention terms.
- Newsletter: confirmation links expire after 24 hours. We keep the consent record while subscribed and a limited unsubscribe record afterward so we can honor the choice. Resend processes confirmed contacts and newsletter delivery preferences.
- Optional analytics: runs only after you opt in on the consent banner or the Cookies page. Analytics identifiers live in your browser and are cleared when you decline or clear this site's data; Google Analytics retains aggregated usage data under its own terms.
- Recovery backups: deleted information may remain temporarily in access-restricted disaster-recovery copies until the applicable backup ages out. It is not used in the live service after an account deletion.
If you cannot sign in, email privacy@allergyfreenearme.com to request access, correction, export, or deletion. Signed-in users can go directly to Privacy Controls.
