Allergy & Health
How do I report an unexpected allergic reaction?
If you experience a reaction, first seek immediate medical attention. Once safe, follow these steps:
- Open the restaurant page and write a detailed allergy experience review.
- Include the visit date, relevant allergies, and what happened.
- Flag reviews or answers that look unsafe, misleading, or abusive.
In case of emergency, always call 911 or your local emergency services first.
Can I rely on a restaurant's kitchen protocols?
Restaurant profiles can include owner-provided allergy notes, structured allergen rows, menu item allergen labels, community reviews, and Q&A. Treat these as planning signals, then confirm current kitchen practices directly with the restaurant before ordering.
Accounts & Site Basics
How do I sign in or get back into my account?
Use Sign In in the top navigation to log in or create a free account. Locked out? Email hello@allergyfreenearme.com from the address on the account and we'll help you recover it.
How do saved restaurants work?
Use the save control on a restaurant card or page to add it to your list, then open Saved in the top navigation to plan from it.
Where does a listing's allergy information come from?
Restaurant profiles combine official chain allergen disclosures, owner-provided details, menus on file, and diner reviews — each labeled by source on the page. Treat all of it as planning context and confirm current preparation with the restaurant before ordering.
Why can't I find a restaurant in search?
Coverage grows city by city, so some restaurants aren't listed yet. Try searching by name, and email us a suggestion if it's still missing.
Business Management
How do I update my menu with new allergen labels?
Access the Owner Dashboard after your claim is approved. Under Menu, you can select individual items and assign structured allergen labels. Approved updates appear on your restaurant profile to keep your customers informed.
What happens when a diner reports a reaction?
Public reviews can be flagged for moderation. Approved owners can respond to reviews from the owner dashboard, and admins can review flagged content from the admin tools.
